Privacy Policy

In short

WarrantyVault stores your items, dates, and receipt photos on your own device — not on our servers.
There's no account or sign-in, and we don't collect your name, email, or location.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect a device advertising identifier for that purpose.
You can export, back up, or delete your data at any time from inside the app.

1. Information we collect

WarrantyVault is a warranty and receipt tracker. The only information it holds is what you choose to enter:

Item details you type in — name, brand or store, category, price, purchase date, warranty length, and any notes.
Receipt photos you take with your camera or choose from your gallery, if you attach one to an item.

WarrantyVault does not require an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, or location.

2. How we use it

Everything you enter is used only to run the features you're using it for: showing your item list, calculating and displaying expiry status, formatting prices in your device's local currency, and sending you a local notification before a warranty expires. None of it is analyzed, sold, or used for anything beyond operating the app on your own device.

3. Where it's stored

Your items and photos are stored in a private database and file storage on your device — WarrantyVault does not send this data to us or to any server we operate.

Storage	What happens
On your device	The primary copy of everything you enter, kept in app-private storage.
Android Auto Backup	Android may back this data up to your own Google Account, governed by your device's backup settings and Google's account security — WarrantyVault has no access to this backup.
Manual export	If you use the in-app "Export backup" option, a single file is created containing your data, and saved wherever you choose to put it. You control that file entirely.

4. Third-party services

WarrantyVault shows ads through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers under Google's own privacy policy — WarrantyVault does not receive or store this information itself. You can review how Google handles it in the Google Ads Privacy & Terms and manage your ad personalization settings from your device's system settings.

WarrantyVault does not use any other third-party analytics or tracking service.

5. Permissions we request

Permission	Why
Camera	To let you photograph a receipt directly from the app. Only used when you tap the camera button.
Notifications	To alert you before a warranty is about to expire, based on the reminder you set for that item.
Internet & network state	Required by the AdMob SDK to request and display ads.

6. Your choices

You can edit or delete any item, including its photo, at any time from within the app. You can export a full backup whenever you want, and restore from one on a new device. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on that device, aside from any Auto Backup copy already held in your Google Account, which follows your own Google Account settings rather than WarrantyVault's.

7. Children's privacy

WarrantyVault is a general-purpose utility app, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
